Will filing for personal bankruptcy hinder my ability to obtain a work visa or resident visa in Philippines?

Jim asked:

I am a Canadian citizen planning to move to the Philippines. My wife, who is also a CDN citizen but born in the PHP does not have her dual citizenship yet. We plan to run the family business there.

  1. No you can live in PI indefinitely on a tourist visa. All you need to do is keep extending it and go to a nearby country every 2 years for 24 hours i believe and come back again and start the process again. Each time you enter you need a cheap ongoing ticket by law that you do not have to use.Meanwhile you can arrange for change of status while there living with your wife.No one needs to know about your bankruptcy you may need to prove you can support yourself.
