Hi,
I used "Credit Solution" to settle my debt and avoid bankruptcy. They managed to reduce my debt up to 58%.It's legitimate. I came across this company on NBC News Special Edition.Check it out here:

before filing go to your local credit card counseling service. They can help you make a budget, they will also contact the cc companies to lower your minimum payments by reducing your interest.

You make one payment to the counseling service and they divvy up the payment amongst your creditors.

You cannot open a new credit card acct and your accts are closed.

this method helps restore your credit, but you still have to pay.

Bankruptcy takes 10 years to be removed from your credit profile acct. You maybe challenged by the various creditors so you'll have to go to court.

Try to avoid bankrupcy. It will take at least 5-7 years to get any credit back or buy a house, etc.

Goto a credit counseling agency. Look at the Suze Orman website and take that reference. That is an "honest" credit agency that will help you reduce your debt.
